Review: Fancl Resteye Gel

Product Information:
RESTEYE GEL is the solution to all your eye problems. This fresh, non-oily gel boosts an enhanced formulation that targets and treats problems such as dark circles, puffiness, dryness and fine lines.

New ingredient Citrulline aids in improving lymphatic and blood flow, lightening unsightly dark circles. Aloe Vera soothes and reduce puffiness, and helps decongest the delicate eye contour area. It also contains Moisture Retaining Essence which supply and help retain essential moisture in skin, leaving skin soft and plump, reducing fine lines.
 My review:
Fancl has improved the formula of the Resteye Gel. I have used two tubes of the older version and liked it. I decided to try the new version after finishing the BeautyEasy Lily & Jasmine Peptides Lifting Eye Creme. I will do a short review.

I find that the Fancl Resteye Gel is a bit hard to spread, as the texture is a bit thick. I find that I am tugging my eye area a bit when spreading the Fancl Resteye Gel. It takes a while to absorb and needs some massaging for the Fancl Resteye Gel to be absorbed completely. If I use more of it, I sometimes find my eye area a bit oily. I prefer my eye creams to be easily spreadable and absorbed quickly but the Fancl Resteye Gel did not meet these criteria.

However, I do like the massaging technique that was suggested by Fancl. The Resteye Gel also does a good job moisturising the eye area. I sometimes find my eye area dry after a few hours with other eye creams, but I don't have such a problem with Fancl's Rest Eye Gel.

All in all, it is a good eye cream that does moisturise well, it did not do much for my fine lines nor my dark eye circles. I suspect that longer term usage is required for improvements. I will be trying the Lancome Genifique Youth Activating Eye Concentrate next, which boasts results in 7 days. I will update with my review on that soon.

  2. Hi Niz, you can try Lancome Genifique eye cream if you don't mind the alcohol content in it. I think it did help my dark eye circles. But what I find really helps is some eye massage for blood circulation - this usually helps lessen my dark eye circles and also better for the eye cream to be absorbed.
