Sale: Avene Very High Protection Emulsion SPF 50+

For those of you who like the Avene Very High Protection Emulsion SPF 50+, click the link for my review. The hospital pharmacies sell this at a fixed price of $30.50, whether or not they have 20% discounts. I think this is cheaper than the $39.90 price at Watsons or Guardian so it is good to get one if you are at any hospitals with Avene products!

  2. You're welcome! You can also buy online at CGH pharmacy, there are some Avene products on sale. I think minimum $100 purchase and there will be free delivery! :)

  3. Hi, I love ur blog & skincare reviews! ;) I'm a teen guy and recently bought Avene's Very High Protection Emulsion SPF 50+ after reading the reviews.

I have oily skin and find that this product is not really the best sunblock (personally..) It does not mattify well even after using Avene's mattifying moisturiser. I still have to apply ZA's pore smoother to achieve a matte touch.

I'm wondering if you've used any good products for pores or oil control? Thanks! =)

  4. Hi, you can try Biore's sunblock. It dries to a slight powdery matt finish, but you have to wait a while for the sunblock to settle into the skin. It is mostly liquid when applied. I don't find Avene's Very High protection settles to become a matt finish as well. Another good sunblock would be La Roche-Posay's Fluid Extreme SPF 50+. Both Biore and La Roche-Posay are much lighter and liquid than Avene's emulsion.

I don't think pore products reduce pores or control oil. They are mosty formuated with silica or some ingredient to 'fill up' the pores to make them momentarily smaller. So I don't really use such products, an don't have any to recommend!

    Hope this helps! =)

  5. Hi! Thanks. I've been using Biore's sunblock (white bottle) before switching to Avene's Very High protection emulsion.

As for La Roche-Posay, I tried to apply it on my hand at Watsons but find it too oily.. Nonetheless thanks for ur recommendations! ;)
