Review: Dr. Schrammek Blemish Balm

After reviewing the BRTC Whitening & Wrinkle Repair BB Cream , I managed to get the Dr. med. Christine Schrammek Regulating Care Blemish Balm (Classic) from Korea Incheon Airport Duty Free Shop.

It costs US$65 for 30ml, which is really expensive!

This Blemish Balm is said to be the original BB creams that are used for skin regeneration after laser treatments. BB creams were said to be from Germany and this Dr Schrammek BB cream was what I always wanted to try.

The Dr Schrammek Blemish Balm is a special treatment for irritated, red, blemished skin. It is a special skin care preparation for irritated, red, blemished skin with enlarged pores. Its soothing, masking, antimicrobial properties alleviate redness and irritation and promote return to normal skin function. It is ideal for concealing skin blemishes and excellent for use as a make up base.

The Dr Schrammek BB cream has a greyish undertone and fit my NC20 skintone perfectly! When applied on, there is a slight greyish tone which disappears when the BB cream sinks in. I did not face any oxidisation problems as I did with the BRTC Whitening & Wrinkle Repair BB Cream so the BB cream remained nicely blended into my skin. I did not look like I have makeup on at all.

The BB cream has good coverage and managed to conceal my red pimples nicely but not as perfectly as a concealer would as it is a BB cream not a concealer. The difference is still significant enough for me as my skin looks even and smoother.

My pores looked smaller upon application, which makes it a good make up base. If you want a flawless look, do follow with a foundation.

The Dr Schrammek BB cream contains a lot of beneficial ingredients like wheat germ oil, jojoba oil, licorice extracts, allantoin among others.

This BB cream does not have any SPF so it is crucial to include sunblock in your skincare regime.

I think that this BB cream did help with my skin condition by helping to calm down some hormonal zits and reducing redness on my skin due to the pimples.

All in all, I liked this BB cream and although expensive I think it contains a lot of beneficial ingredients and does help the skin. Unlike many BB creams in the market which function more like a foundation, I think the Dr Schrammek BB cream does have skin healing properties. I am now worrying how amI going to get another tube of this when I run out.

  1. Hi, thanks for the advice. I bought my tube from Korea Incheon Airport so I know it is original and genuine. I am sometimes afraid that ebay's products are not genuine.

  3. hi! I totally agree! =) This is one of the best I've tried. It's expensive but it is good. Not many people know of this brand though. The bigger brands like BRTC Hanskin and Dr Jart are more popular =) you're very lucky to have a korean friend!
